The SCC Board
The SCC is led by an operational Board of directors consisting of a Ccairman, up to three vice-chairmen and up to twelve members.
Board members are appointed by the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce for three-year terms. The members represent international expertise and are of different nationalities, reflecting the global reach of the SCC.
The day-to-day work of the arbitrations is managed by the SCC Secretariat. The Board decides on the arbitrations in accordance with the SCC Rules. It is for the Board to decide on the SCC’s jurisdiction in arbitration, the appointment of arbitrators, the examination of objections to the arbitrators’ disqualification, and the decision on the costs of arbitration. This structure ensures both efficiency and independence of decision-making in all arbitrations.
