The Swedish Women in Arbitration Network (SWAN) is pleased to host a member exclusive inspirational lunch during SCC Arbitration Week, sponsored and held at Mannheimer Swartling in Stockholm.

We are delighted to welcome Ardak Idayatova, partner at Kinstellar (Kazakhstan), an experienced arbitration practitioner with a unique perspective on the Kazakhstani and international legal landscape. In conversation with SWAN board member and SCC Legal Counsel Lina Krait, Ardak will share insights from her professional journey and practice.

The discussion will cover:

  • An introduction to Kazakhstan – background and context
  • Ardak’s career path and key milestones
  • Challenges of working as a woman in law and arbitration in Kazakhstan
  • Managing cultural differences in international arbitration, including the transition from a local to an international law firm
  • Highlights from notable cases in Ardak’s practice
