STOCKHOLM, Sweden. The SCC Arbitration Institute (SCC) is proud to announce the formation and launch of the SCC Council for Swedish Arbitration (Council), a new initiative designed to reinforce Sweden's standing as a leading hub for international dispute resolution. The Council, established in 2025, brings together 15 prominent lawyers in Sweden with extensive experience in international arbitration.

The primary objective of the Council is to further solidify the position of the SCC and Sweden as an attractive and reliable choice for the resolution of international commercial disputes. Its members will serve as ambassadors for Swedish arbitration, working to enhance awareness of the SCC’s services both domestically and globally.
The Council’s strategic tasks include:
- Promoting international arbitration and the SCC’s offerings within Sweden.
- Contributing to the expansion of the SCC’s international network and user base.
- Ensuring that Sweden remains a highly desirable and competitive venue for international dispute resolution.
“The launch of the SCC Council for Swedish Arbitration marks a significant step in our ongoing commitment to promoting the highest standards in international dispute resolution,” says Caroline Falconer, Secretary General of the SCC Arbitration Institute. “By bringing together such a wealth of experience and expertise, we are confident that the Council will play a crucial role in advancing Swedish arbitration and strengthening our position on the global stage.”
Membership on the Council is a voluntary commitment from its members. It does not entail participation in the SCC’s handling of cases and therefore does not preclude them from other roles at the SCC, such as being appointed as arbitrators.
