Welcome to the SCC Board

The SCC Arbitration Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Crina Baltag as Vice Chairperson and Alicja Zielińska-Eisen as a new member of the SCC Board, as per 1 January 2026. These appointments further strengthen the Board's expertise and reinforce the SCC’s role in international dispute resolution.

Crina Baltag, Vice Chairperson

Crina Baltag has been appointed Vice Chairperson of the SCC Board, following her previous service as board member. She is an Associate Professor in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution at Queen Mary University of London, previously at Stockholm University, and a qualified attorney-at-law admitted to the Romanian and Bucharest Bar.

With more than twenty years’ experience in international arbitration, Dr Baltag has acted as counsel, arbitrator, expert, and institution head. She has served as presiding, sole, and co-arbitrator in numerous cases under a wide range of institutional and ad hoc rules, the SCC Rules included, handling complex disputes across sectors including foreign investment, construction, energy, natural resources, and intellectual property.

Alicja Zielińska-Eisen, Board member

Alicja Zielińska-Eisen joins the SCC Board as a new board member. She is a Partner at Queritius and an advocate (adwokat) admitted in Poland, bringing more than 15 years’ experience in complex dispute resolution. Her practice includes representing clients in international and domestic arbitration, as well as before Polish courts, including the Supreme Court. She has particular expertise in investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS), M&A-related disputes, and large-scale infrastructure matters, and has successfully represented both foreign investors and states in high-stakes proceedings.
