Welcome the 2025-2026 SCC Arbitrators’ Council
The SCC Arbitration Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of the 2025-2026 SCC Arbitrators' Council (Council). This esteemed body continues to expand the SCC’s network and foster relationships with arbitral practitioners and businesses worldwide.

The new Council includes a mix of continuing and new members, each bringing valuable expertise and regional insights. The members are:

- Ben Wells – United Kingdom
- Carri Ginter – Estonia
- Cosmin Vasile – Romania
- Elke Umbeck – Germany
- George Svanadze – Georgia
- Markiyan Malskyy – Ukraine
- Mathias Steinø – Denmark
- Susan Munro – China
- Tom Melbye Eide – Norway
Caroline Falconer, the SCC Secretary General, emphasized the importance of the Council in promoting international arbitration and the work of the SCC:
“The SCC Arbitrators’ Council plays a pivotal role in expanding our network and strengthening our relationships with business and arbitral practitioners globally,” she said. “We are excited to welcome the new members, to working with the continuing members, and look forward to our collaborations.”
The Council members serve as SCC ambassadors, organizing and promoting events, collaborating on publications, and keeping the SCC informed about significant legal developments in their regions. They are also invited to join the SCC Board for strategic discussions and networking at the annual in-person SCC Board meeting in Stockholm.
The SCC Arbitration Institute looks forward to the valuable contributions of the 2025-2026 SCC Arbitrators’ Council and to working together in promoting international arbitration and enhancing the SCC’s global presence.
