SCC Arbitration Institute

The SCC Board

The SCC has an operational board consisting of a chairman, up to three vice-chairmen and up to twelve members. The board is appointed by the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce for a period of three years. The members do not have to be Swedish, they can be of different nationalities.

The day-to-day arbitration work is carried out by the Secretariat, while the board’s role is to make decisions in accordance with the SCC’s rules. For example, this may relate to the jurisdiction of the SCC, the appointment of arbitrators, challenge to arbitrators or a decision on the costs of the arbitration.
