On 29 November 2022, the SCC held the third East-West Forum, devoted to the impact of the war in Ukraine on international arbitration. The war and the subsequent sanctions against Russia have affected arbitration landscape in Europe, raising complex legal and practical issues. During the event, we discussed the changes in the work of law firms and arbitral practitioners, the sanctions, and the way forward.
Among the panelists were the SCC Arbitrators’ Council members Beata Gessel- Kalinowska vel Kalisz, Mathias Steino, Pirkka-Marja Pöldvere, Cosmin Vasile and Alexander Foerster.
